ADA/Section 504 Program
Americans with Disabilities Act
The Nevada Department of Transportation has a responsibility, under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, to ensure its services, facilities, and public rights-of-way are readily accessible to and useable by individuals with disabilities to the fullest extent possible.
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability. NDOT will ensure that qualified individuals shall not, solely on the basis of their disability, be excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or subjected to discrimination under any of its programs, services, or activities as provided by Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA).
See below for more information on NDOT's compliance with the ADA and how to file a grievance. Persons with or without a disability may file a complaint under the ADA.

NDOT ADA Transition Plan
The Draft ADA Transition Plan is now available for public review. The NDOT Draft ADA Transition Plan is currently in the process of review by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). When finalized, the NDOT Transition Plan will establish guidelines and standard practices for the implementation and maintenance of public accessibilities along Nevada's state routes. This plan assimilates the actions necessary for internal and external operations for making Nevada's transportation system more available to all peoples of the public. Please view/print the Nevada Department of Transportation Draft ADA Transition Plan by clicking the links below.
Alternative means of filing complaints, such as personal interviews or tape recordings are available for those unable to submit a written complaint form. Please contact us if this applies to you.
